Plainview Elementary School

Chesterfield School District is set for greatness, and our school is leading the way! We are committed to safety for all who are on our campus, and we are committed to the growth of our students and staff. This is totally in line with the goals of the District and works in the best interest of our community!

I have been in the Plainview area for most of my career (almost six years as Principal here – in two stints – and twelve at McBee High School). I continue to be amazed by this community! There are so many people who deeply care about this school – grandparents and parents who were students here, former employees, and so many more. It is the sense of community – like school was everywhere many years ago – that makes this place special. There is a vested interest and a desire to succeed, and I invite that spirit always. It is what makes Plainview the “little school with a big heart”!

Sure, there are things to improve upon. There are greater days ahead for our school and district! The extension of the bond referendum gives us excitement for physical improvement to the school, and focusing on and developing our common vision gives us hope for improvement in all other areas. My expectations are high, and my belief that we can build on what we have done and achieve those expectations are even higher!
